Dehradun's pet friendly cafe scene is small but genuine, spread across the city from Sahastradhara Road to the Mussoorie Road approach into the hills.
3Monkeys on Sahastradhara Road and Throttle Shrottle near Kuthal Gate both welcome dogs and cats of all sizes, the latter a useful stop if you're heading into the hills. Chhaya Cafe on Rajpur Road and MUSEE Art Café in Kishanpur are both established local spots, MUSEE specifically noting no limit on pets and food available for them. Nostalgic Cafe, more of a homely stay than a straightforward cafe, allows one pet free and off-leash on its grounds, with resident animals already on site.
Most of these work well as a stop between a hotel and a longer drive, rather than a full day out.
