We process your personal data based on the consent you give at registration and when you submit content, and on other lawful bases under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 13); withdrawal doesn't affect processing already carried out.
Photos you upload are processed by automated systems, including AI moderation services, to check they meet our guidelines, and are reviewed by our team before they appear. We remove location metadata (such as GPS/EXIF) from every uploaded image before storing it, so your photos don't reveal where they were taken.
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are used without your explicit consent.
We share data with service providers who help us run the Platform, hosting, email delivery, and AI moderation, under appropriate safeguards; with authorities where the law requires; and in the event of a business transfer. We do not sell your personal data.
Some service providers may process data outside India. We take reasonable steps to protect it in line with applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
We keep your personal data while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above and for legal or record-keeping requirements. Content removed for violating law or our Terms, and associated records, may be retained for 180 days (or longer where required by law or lawful order) for compliance purposes, and is not publicly visible during retention. When you delete your account, we remove your public content and personal data, subject to limited retention required by law.
We use measures including password hashing, encrypted connections, access controls, and stripping location metadata from images. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
The Platform is for users aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
Community content is public. Posts, replies, your display name, and your verification badge (if any) are visible to anyone on the internet and may appear in search engines once indexed. Do not include personal information you don't want public.
What we process for the Community: your account details, display name, content you post, votes, community memberships, reports you file, and moderation records concerning your content. Automated screening tools process the text of your posts to check for content that violates our rules; results are reviewed by our team.
Retention: public content remains until you delete it or it is removed; removed-content records and moderation logs are retained as described in the Terms (§8.8). Reports you file are retained for compliance record-keeping.
Grievances about personal data may be raised with the Grievance Officer.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to: access a summary of your personal data; correct, complete, or update it; erase it; raise a grievance; and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you can't. To make a request, contact our Grievance Officer (Section 14). You can also delete your account at any time from Settings.
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. See the full Grievance Officer page for how to file a complaint and applicable timelines.
