Tails Community exists so pet parents across India can ask real questions and get honest answers. These guidelines keep it that way. By posting, you agree to follow them, and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Be kind and constructive.
Disagree with ideas, never with people. New pet parents ask beginner questions, that is the point of this place. Harassment, hate speech, slurs, or targeting another member gets content removed and repeat offenders banned.
Stay about pets.
Travel, health, food, training, adoption, local recommendations, and pet events. Off-topic content is removed.
Be honest.
Share what you actually experienced. Don't present guesses as facts, "I'm not sure, but…" is always welcome. Do not post false or misleading information. This community runs on the same rule as our directory: verified means we checked.
Disclose your connection.
If you're recommending a business you own, work for, or benefit from, say so in the post. Verified businesses carry a badge. Hidden promotion, affiliate links, and spam are removed.
Never post medical instructions.
Sharing your experience (“our vet prescribed X for our dog”) is welcome. Telling others to give a specific medicine or dosage is not — it can kill someone’s pet. For anything medical, the answer is always: see a registered veterinarian. Content in this community is not veterinary advice.
No harmful or unlawful content.
Nothing sexual, obscene, or harmful to children; nothing that promotes violence or cruelty to animals or people; nothing that violates Indian law; no one else's private information (phone numbers, addresses, identities) without their consent; no impersonation; no malware or malicious links. Respect ownership.
Post your own words and photos, or content you have the right to share.
New members' posts are reviewed.
Posts from new members appear publicly after review, usually within a day. Automated tools help our team screen content; removal decisions are made by people, and every action is logged.
See something off? Report it.
Every post and reply has a Report link. Reports are acknowledged within 24 hours and resolved within 15 days. For formal complaints, see our Grievance Officer page.

Breaking these guidelines can lead to content removal, loss of posting privileges, or a permanent ban, at our discretion. We may also be required to act on lawful government or court orders.
We update these guidelines as the community grows and will notify members of material changes.
