🌿 Garden Suite Pet-permitted room type
🐾 1 per room Max pets allowed
💰 ₹2,000 + GST Pet charge per night
Viveda Wellness Resort sits in Beze Village on Trimbak Road, just 8 km from the Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple and 46 km from Nashik Airport, in Maharashtra's Trimbakeshwar region. This adults-only, all-inclusive wellness retreat , rated 4.7 on Google across 636 reviews , is one of the few upscale wellness properties in Nashik district that has a written, structured pet policy in place. Dogs are welcome to stay, but only in the Garden Suite category, which comes with garden views, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a rustic cottage vibe. If you're travelling with a dog and looking for a pet friendly stay near Nashik with genuine wellness infrastructure, this is a rare find in this region.
✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
Viveda's pet policy has been confirmed directly from the property. Only the Garden Suite category is available for guests travelling with pets. A pet charge of ₹2,000 + GST per night applies, and a copy of your pet's vaccination certificate must be submitted at the time of reservation or upon arrival. One pet is allowed per room.
The Setting and What to Expect
Viveda is a full-service wellness resort , not a farmhouse or boutique homestay. The property has an outdoor swimming pool, Ayurvedic spa, Yoga Dome, Wellness Centre, restaurant with terrace dining, cycling and bicycle rental, and an outdoor fireplace. Meals are vegan, alcohol is not served, and the resort identifies as women-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly. The setting itself is calm and green, with mountain views of the Trimbakeshwar range visible from the garden verandas. For a dog, this means open lawns, garden paths, and fresh hill air , not a confined urban property.
Pets are welcome to roam the property with you while on a leash, and you can bring your dog to the restaurant lawns and the outdoor deck while you dine , just not inside the restaurant itself. The Swimming Pool, Wellness Centre, Yoga Dome, and Restaurant interiors are off-limits for pets. The property has designated areas for pets to relieve themselves; the team will show you where these are when you check in. Free private parking is available on site, which is useful if you've driven up from Pune or Mumbai with your dog.
The Garden Suites , Your Pet's Home for the Stay
The Garden Suites at Viveda are the only room category where dogs are permitted, and they're genuinely well-suited for it. These cottage-style rooms are designed with floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto private garden verandas, which means your dog has a buffer zone between the room interior and the common grounds , useful for mornings when your dog needs air before you've had your first cup of chai. The rustic décor uses natural materials throughout, and the rooms are spacious enough that a medium to large dog won't feel cramped during downtime.
Because the resort operates as an all-inclusive property, your base rate covers meals, wellness sessions, and several activities , so once you've accounted for the ₹2,000 + GST pet fee and the departure cleaning charge, the overall value calculation is different from a standard room-only hotel. Room rates on booking platforms have been listed from approximately ₹10,000–₹11,244 per night at time of verification, inclusive of free WiFi, free breakfast, and free airport shuttle. It's worth calling the property directly to ask about current Garden Suite availability and pricing before booking through a third-party platform, as pet-permitted rooms may have limited inventory.
Pet Policy , What You Need to Know Before Booking
The pet policy at Viveda is more detailed than most properties in Maharashtra, which is a good sign. Here's what it covers: only the Garden Suite room type accepts pets; one pet per room maximum; vaccination certificate required at check-in or reservation; a pet charge of ₹2,000 + GST per night applies; and a nominal professional cleaning fee is charged on departure, which is communicated at the time of booking. Pets must remain on a leash whenever outside the room, including all common areas of the property. Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pet to room furniture, linens, or cushions , the property will bill for damage.
Housekeeping will need access to your room at a mutually agreed time, so coordinate this with the front desk on arrival. Waste disposal is managed through designated areas only , the team provides the location and guests are expected to clean up responsibly. Viveda Management holds the right to cancel a stay if a pet causes repeated or unresolvable disturbance to other guests, so this is a property that works best for calm, well-socialised dogs who are comfortable in a structured resort environment.
Arriving With Your Dog , Practical Logistics
Most guests reaching Viveda from Mumbai will take the Mumbai–Nashik Expressway (NH 160) and then Trimbak Road from Nashik city , the total drive from Mumbai is approximately 170–180 km, typically 3 to 3.5 hours depending on traffic. From Pune, the drive is around 220 km via the Nashik–Pune Highway. Both routes are well-maintained four-lane highways for most of the distance, which makes for a comfortable road trip with dogs. There are pet-friendly dhabas and highway stops along the Mumbai–Nashik Expressway where you can pull over for water and toilet breaks , plan for at least one stop if you have a large breed.
If you're arriving by train, Nashik Road Railway Station is the closest major railhead, approximately 30 km from the resort. The property offers an airport shuttle service, though its applicability to train arrivals is worth confirming. If you're flying in, Nashik Airport (IATA: ISK) is 46 km away. Either way, coordinate your pet's travel documentation and any carrier/crate requirements with the resort in advance, particularly for guests using the shuttle service with a dog in tow.
On arrival, the check-in process includes submitting your pet's vaccination certificate , have a physical copy ready, and ideally a digital backup on your phone as well. The front desk will brief you on the designated pet relief areas and any property-specific ground rules. Given that this is a wellness resort with a predominantly adults-only, serene guest profile, a calm and settled dog will have a much smoother stay here than an anxious or reactive one.
Exploring the Area With Your Dog
Viveda's location near Trimbakeshwar opens up some genuinely scenic options for morning walks. The village of Beze itself is quiet and rural, with relatively light traffic on the local lanes , walkable with a dog on leash without the chaos you'd encounter in Nashik city. The Trimbakeshwar temple is 8 km away; note that the temple complex itself will not allow dogs inside, but the surrounding forested hills and the approach road offer good walking terrain in the early morning.
The Godavari River originates in the Brahmagiri hills near Trimbakeshwar, and the broader region is green, hilly, and dotted with farmland. The Anjaneri Hills , said to be the birthplace of Hanuman , are approximately 7 km from Trimbakeshwar and are accessible by road, with a moderately steep trail up to the top. Dogs on leash are possible on the lower approach trail, though the steps near the summit would be challenging for large breeds. Always carry water for your dog on any outdoor excursion , shade is limited on exposed hill paths after 9 am. The Coin Museum in Nashik city is 4 km from the resort and is a low-effort stop if you're heading into town, though it's not a dog-specific attraction.
The Wellness Resort Context , Managing Expectations
Because Viveda is a full wellness resort with shared spaces and a serene, meditation-friendly atmosphere, it is not the right fit for high-energy dogs that need off-leash runs or large open fields. The leash rule applies everywhere outside your room, and several key amenities , the pool, the spa, the yoga dome , are not accessible with your dog. That said, the Garden Suites have garden verandas, and the grounds themselves are genuinely green and walkable. The rhythm of a wellness retreat , slow mornings, structured meals, quiet evenings , actually suits well-settled dogs quite well, as long as you're not expecting an off-leash adventure resort.
The adults-only policy means no children on the property, which tends to translate to a quieter environment overall , a practical benefit if your dog is sensitive to noise or unpredictable movement. The all-vegan meal policy means no meat scraps or bones from the restaurant, so pack your dog's food and treats separately. Most pet parents travelling with dogs in Maharashtra will find the ₹2,000 + GST nightly fee reasonable for a resort at this price point, particularly given the structured policy and the quality of the property overall.
What We Haven't Confirmed Yet
The following details were not available from the sources reviewed and are worth confirming directly with the property before booking: whether there is a weight or size restriction on the dog (the policy says one pet per room but does not specify a breed or weight limit); whether the vaccination certificate must be uploaded digitally in advance or can be shown physically at arrival; whether the ₹2,000 + GST pet fee is fixed or varies by room type or season; whether the Garden Suite rooms have a ground-floor or direct garden access option (useful for large dogs); and whether the airport/station shuttle can accommodate a dog in a carrier or crate. Contact the property at 0788 780 5800 or via vivedawellness.com before finalising your booking if any of these are relevant to your dog's needs.
