SB Mount Resort (Lansdowne) (Jogi Bhilangi)

SB Mount Resort was not originally built as a hotel. Brothers Badrish and Brij Dutt started with a cow farm - Silgarh Dairy - before converting the riverside land into a resort. The property sits on the bank of the Silgarh/Khoh river, 20-25 km before Lansdowne town on the Palkot Road - a position that repeatedly surprises guests who expect to be in central Lansdowne but find instead a quieter, lower-altitude riverside setting with direct water access. The river is the property's defining feature: guests wade, some fish, and the sound of moving water is audible from the rooms.

Room types: Semi-Deluxe, Deluxe, Super-Deluxe (with a bunk bed and monkey ladder that children specifically love), Valley View, and riverside cottage. Activities include archery, kids' play area, nature walks, and DJ nights that the property occasionally arranges as complimentary events. Manager Mr. Negi is mentioned by name across multiple independent reviews for consistent helpfulness. The approach to the property requires descending steep steps, crossing a footbridge over the river, then climbing back up - the same characteristic that makes the riverside location special also makes it inaccessible for elderly guests or anyone with mobility limitations.

What the property does well

The GoMMT aggregate rating is 4.7/5 from 149 ratings, with 100% of guests liking the location. The riverside setting genuinely distinguishes it from standard Lansdowne hill resorts - the sound of the river, the wading access, and the green hillside backdrop give it a character that most hilltop properties in the region don't have. Buffet breakfast is specifically praised for variety. Food quality and staff friendliness are the two most cited positives; some Tripadvisor reviews flag inconsistency in food quality and staff politeness, which is the honest gap between the aggregate positive rating and individual experiences.
