The Setting

Winterline Café sits in Nainital with a backdrop of pine-covered hillsides visible from its outdoor terrace. The seating area is gravel-surfaced with green upholstered chairs , the kind of spot where your dog can curl up on the chair beside you while you order. Google photos from visitors show dogs relaxed and settled in, which is a good sign that the staff are genuinely comfortable with pets on the premises, not just tolerating them. The atmosphere is listed as casual and trendy, the crowd skews towards tourists and groups, and the vibe draws comparisons to a laid-back hill-town hangout rather than a formal dining room.

The café serves café and fast food , coffee, small plates, quick bites , and is open for lunch and dinner, closing at 11pm. Brunch visits are also popular based on reviewer meal types. Live music is listed as a feature, which adds to the atmosphere on certain evenings. Free Wi-Fi and parking are both available, which makes this an easy stop whether you're mid-road-trip or settling in for a long afternoon.

Pet Policy

Both dogs and cats are explicitly welcome, and there are no pet charges of any kind , no entry fee, no deposit, no surcharge on the bill. This is one of the few pet-friendly cafés in Nainital where the welcome is stated outright rather than implied. Pets sit with you at the outdoor tables, which face the hill views. There is no indoor pet seating confirmed , if you're visiting in poor weather, it's worth calling ahead on 099717 64689 to check whether indoor accommodation is available for you and your dog.

The outdoor seating area has a gravel surface, which is practical for dogs (no slippery floors, easy to clean) but worth noting for smaller or older dogs who may find it less comfortable to lie down on for extended periods. Bring a travel mat if your dog tends to sprawl. Wait times are reported to be up to 10 minutes, and the service has received full marks from multiple reviewers , so you're not going to be left standing at the gate with a restless dog for long.

Food and Experience

The menu leans café-style: coffee, small plates, quick bites, and desserts. Price per person runs ₹800–1,000 for a fuller brunch sitting based on one reviewer's report, though the Google listing shows an average of ₹200–400 , likely reflecting lighter orders. It's highly recommended for vegetarians. Table service is available, NFC mobile payments are accepted, and the crowd is generally family-friendly and good for kids, which means the energy is relaxed rather than chaotic , helpful if your dog is on the sensitive side.

Multiple reviewers mention the food quality and atmosphere in the same breath, with one 5-star review calling it "amazing vibe + delicious food" , and specifically flagging the pet-friendly status as a standout feature in a hill station where most cafés turn dogs away at the door.
