Tree of Life Highlands, Mussoorie (Mussoorie)

Tree of Life Highlands sits on Oaks Road in Landour, the quieter, older sibling of Mussoorie, at an elevation that earns it genuinely breathtaking Himalayan sunsets. Part of the Pawsome Holidays programme by Tree of Life Resorts - a dedicated pet-friendly chain across nine Indian destinations - this property is built around the idea that your dog is a guest too, not an afterthought. With no additional pet charges and a dedicated pet amenity package, it's one of the more thoughtfully set-up hill stays for travelling with dogs.

What the Pawsome Holidays package actually includes

Tree of Life doesn't just tick a pet-friendly box - their Pawsome Holidays package is a structured 2-night, 3-day offering with specific inclusions for your dog. On arrival, your pet gets a welcome drink and platter. A dedicated pooch area is set up with a bed, water bowl, and food bowl. There's a pooch mini-bar stocked with special treats, grooming products are provided, and your dog gets a special menu alongside the standard daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For pet parents used to sneaking kibble past reception, this level of deliberate pet hospitality is a genuine relief.

The property and its setting

Located off Oaks Road in Landour - away from the Mall Road crowds - the property offers open hillside spaces and mountain views that reviewers consistently call breathtaking. Google reviewers highlight the impeccable service, outstanding food quality, and the views in the same breath. The property also has free parking and a kitchen in rooms, which is practical if you're travelling with pet food that needs refrigeration. Local shuttle service is available, useful if you want to explore Landour market or Char Dukan without driving the narrow hill roads.

Practical notes for dog parents

Up to 2 pets are allowed per stay with no additional pet fee - straightforward and generous. The property is part of a chain, so the Pawsome Holidays programme is an established offering rather than an ad hoc arrangement. Guests are expected to keep pets supervised and well-behaved during the stay, which is standard for any hill property. Check-in is at 2:00 pm and check-out at 12:00 pm. Free parking on-site makes this a practical pick for road-tripping pet families driving up from Delhi or Dehradun.
