From Gun Hill
Country Inn Premier Pacific Resort sits in the foothills of the Himalayas on Mussoorie's Back Road, just 2 km from Gun Hill and 17 km from Kempty Falls. It's an upscale property with mountain-view rooms, a terrace restaurant, and garden lawns - and it does accept dogs, with a pet charge applicable per animal.
✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
The property confirms dogs are allowed with an extra charge per pet. No hard limit on the number of pets, but guests travelling with more than 2 pets will be required to book an additional room. Inform the property about your pets at the time of booking.
What the Stay Looks Like With a Dog
Rooms are airy with wood floors and floor-to-ceiling windows - waking up to Himalayan ridgelines from a well-lit room is genuinely lovely. Upgraded rooms come with balconies, which gives you and your dog a bit of outdoor space without having to head downstairs. The garden with a lawn is the most useful outdoor area for pet parents - a proper patch of green where dogs can stretch after a long drive up the mountain roads.
Policies Worth Knowing Before You Book
The resort's pet policy has a specific nuance: if you're travelling with more than 2 pets, you'll need to book an additional room. This is worth flagging at reservation time, not on arrival. One guest review noted that the front desk required a family with a pet to book two rooms - so always confirm your specific situation directly with the property before finalising your booking. Pet charges are per pet, and the exact amount should be confirmed with the hotel when you call or email ahead.
Location and Access
The Mall Road address puts you close to Mussoorie's centre, but the Back Road location means a quieter approach than the main bazaar chaos. Dehradun railway station is 33 km away, making it accessible from Delhi by train. Most guests drive up via the Dehradun–Mussoorie road. Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM.
