Dallas – The Retreat Resort sits on Mussoorie Road in Sher Garhi, a quieter stretch away from the Mall Road crowds, making it a practical base for pet parents who want hill-station air without the chaos. The property is listed as pet-friendly with no cap on the number of pets, which is a meaningful detail if you're travelling with more than one dog. A ₹500 per pet per day charge applies, so factor that into your budget before booking.
✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
The Pet Friendly Places team confirmed the pet policy directly. Dogs and cats are both welcome. The property charges ₹500 per pet per day with no limit on number of pets. Aggressive or unmanageable dogs are not permitted. Guests are expected to keep pets supervised at all times.
What the Property Offers Pet Travellers
Dallas The Retreat is a mid-range hill resort with the practical basics covered - private bathrooms, kitchen and refrigerator in select rooms, and accessible parking, which matters when you're hauling pet gear up a Mussoorie road. The surroundings are hilly and reasonably open, giving dogs room to stretch after a car journey. No air conditioning is listed across the property, which is actually a non-issue in Mussoorie's cooler climate - most months you won't miss it. The property follows a strong sustainability programme including organic and locally sourced food, which is worth noting if you like knowing where your meals come from.
Pet Policy in Plain Terms
The pet charge is ₹500 per pet per day - there is no published limit on how many pets you can bring, which puts it ahead of most Mussoorie properties that cap at one or two dogs. Both dogs and cats are listed as welcome. The one firm restriction: aggressive or unmanageable dogs are not permitted, a standard safety clause you'll find at most responsible pet-friendly properties. Pets must be supervised at all times on the premises. There is no published weight or breed restriction beyond the behaviour clause, but it's worth confirming specifics directly with the property before arrival, especially for larger or multiple dogs.
