Pet charges: contact property
The Narayana is a 3-bedroom homestay tucked into Salan Gaon on the outskirts of Dehradun, sitting above Purkul Cafe with Jharipani Falls just under a kilometre away. It books out as an entire house - three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a full kitchen, a garden with a swing and BBQ, and a bonfire setup for evenings. For pet parents looking for a whole home rather than a hotel corridor, this is a practical base for the Dehradun–Mussoorie–Rishikesh triangle.
✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
The Narayana is listed as pet-friendly across Google, Booking.com, and Goibibo. The property confirms pets are allowed. Specific pet charges, weight limits, and in-room pet policies were not disclosed on any booking platform at the time of verification - confirm directly with the host before booking.
The Space: A Full Home, Not a Hotel Room
You're booking the entire house - one king bed and two queen beds across three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a kitchen where you can cook your own meals or order from the property's fixed menu of North Indian and local food. The living area is bright and open, and the lush garden with a bonfire setup is where evenings tend to happen. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, a kettle, and a Smart TV are all included. A caretaker is available on-site and handles cab bookings and cleaning. The host has been operating since 2023 and responds promptly to reviews.
For Travelling with Dogs
The entire-home format works well for dog owners - there's no shared lobby to navigate, outdoor garden space to stretch legs, and free parking on site for those doing a road trip. Jharipani Falls is 930 metres away, and Landour Bazaar is 2.7 km out, making this a reasonable base for walks and day trips into the hills. The property allows outside food, so if your dog is on a specific diet or you're carrying home-cooked meals, that's not a problem. Confirm pet-specific rules - charges, number of pets, whether your dog can be in the bedrooms - directly with the host before arrival, as this detail is not published on booking platforms.
Food, Logistics, and Getting Around
Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner are available on a fixed menu (North Indian and local cuisine). The private kitchen allows vegetarian cooking, and staff will assist with dishwashing and grocery runs - useful for longer stays. Airport transfers can be arranged on request. The caretaker-managed setup means there's always someone to help with local logistics, whether it's a cab to Rishikesh or directions to the nearest vet. 24-hour check-in is available, which matters when you're driving up from Delhi and hitting hill traffic.
