SL Manor Resort by Lawrence hotels (Kyar Kuli Bhatta) (Mussoorie)

SL Manor Resort by Lawrence Hotels sits in Kyar Kuli Bhatta, a quieter pocket off the main Mussoorie road, and does accept pets - dogs and cats both - at no additional charge per its listed policy. The property offers four room categories, all described as having mountain views and balcony access. Worth knowing before you book: recent guest reviews on TripAdvisor flag significant gaps between how the property presents itself online and the on-ground experience, so manage expectations accordingly.

What the property offers

SL Manor has four room types: King Suite with private garden, King Suite with private balcony, Executive Suite with private garden, and Executive room with private balcony. The resort claims all rooms face the mountains. On-site amenities listed include a restaurant, bar, room service, free Wi-Fi, free parking, and a bonfire in the garden. Breakfast is available, though listed as an extra charge on some booking platforms. The property is positioned as a boutique resort with a nature-retreat feel, set down the hillside from the main road - which means the surroundings are relatively green and quieter than central Mussoorie.

For pet parents specifically

Pets are accepted free of charge, which is a genuine plus in a hill station where many properties either refuse animals entirely or levy steep fees. The garden areas - if well-maintained - could offer a morning sniff-around with your dog before the day's sightseeing begins. The property is down the hills from the main drag, which means less road noise and traffic immediately outside, a practical benefit when you have a dog in tow. That said, the property's TripAdvisor score sits at 3.1 across 21 reviews, with room cleanliness and sleep quality rated particularly low - factor this in when deciding if the pet-friendly credentials outweigh the comfort trade-offs.

Location and nearby access

Kyar Kuli Bhatta is roughly 25 minutes by road from Mussoorie Mall Road and about 15 minutes from Bhatta Falls - both confirmed by guest reviews. The offsite, hillside location means you will need a vehicle for most excursions. The area itself is surrounded by hills, and the drive up through the deodar slopes is pleasant for dogs who enjoy car rides. Parking is free and on-site. Car hire is listed as an available service through the property if you need it.
