On the return leg from Dehradun to Delhi on the new expressway, Jaldi Road Diner is the one confirmed stop where you can pull over safely with your dogs. We stopped here at 2:48 AM on the drive back — the dogs needed out, we needed a washroom. It delivered on both.
⚠️ Food court is under construction — no food available
As of June 2026, the food court at Jaldi Road Diner is under construction. Do not count on food here. Stop for the washroom and dog break only. Carry your own food and water for the dogs for the return journey.
Why this stop matters on the return leg
The Delhi-Dehradun Expressway has no operational fuel stations and very limited rest infrastructure in either direction. On the return from Dehradun, Jaldi Road Diner near Bijrol is one of the few spots with a large open area where dogs can safely get out of the car. The facility is well-lit — important if you are doing what most people do on this route and driving back at night or in the early hours.
We stopped here with Apple, Captain and Kimchi at 2:48 AM. Clean washrooms, large open ground, well-lit. The dogs sorted themselves out in minutes and we were back on the road by 3:04 AM. That is exactly what you need from a highway stop at 3 in the morning.
What to expect with dogs
Large open area — enough for three dogs to walk, stretch and relieve themselves. Well-lit at night. Clean washrooms for humans. No food available currently. Safe, well-maintained stop. Located on the expressway corridor near Bijrol, UP.
