Hotel Deep, Mall Road Mussoorie (Mussoorie)

Hotel Deep sits right on The Mall Road in Mussoorie, one of the most walkable addresses in the hill station, with Camel's Back Road literally at the doorstep and Gun Hill cable car station within easy reach. The hotel is confirmed pet-friendly with no resident animals on the property, making it a clean, distraction-free base for travelling with your dog. Rooms with mountain views and a balcony overlooking the Himalayas are the headline draw here.

Location & What It Means for Dog Walks

This is genuinely one of the better-positioned hotels in Mussoorie if you're travelling with a dog. Camel's Back Road - a quiet, car-free ridge walk that Mussoorie dog owners have been doing for decades - starts right outside. Mall Road (0.9 km) is busier but walkable in the early mornings before tourist crowds arrive. Lal Tibba, at 2.9 km, offers sweeping ravine views and is reachable on foot or by vehicle. The hotel is 0.6 km from Picture Palace bus stand, 33 km from Dehradun railway station, and 58 km from Dehradun Airport.

Rooms & Amenities Worth Knowing

Hotel Deep offers Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and Family Suite categories. Rooms come with flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, a balcony, wardrobe, sofa, and daily housekeeping. Upgraded rooms add proper Himalayan mountain views - worth asking for at booking if you want your dog on the balcony watching the clouds roll in. The hotel has an elevator, which matters when you're hauling a dog up multiple floors. A fitness centre, indoor games room with table tennis, restaurant, and lobby lounge round out the facilities. Room heaters are available for a daily charge. There is no spa on the property.

Things to Keep in Mind

The property does not allow private parties or outside visitors in the room during your stay, so this is strictly a hotel format - not a homestay vibe. Check-in and check-out times vary slightly between sources (the hotel website lists 12 noon check-in / 10 AM check-out; Google lists 2 PM / 11 AM) - confirm the exact timings when you book. Pet charges, weight limits, and whether pets are permitted inside the rooms are not publicly stated, so a direct call before arrival is strongly recommended. Mussoorie's Mall Road area gets very crowded on weekends and during peak season - early morning walks on Camel's Back Road are the practical solution for dogs who get overwhelmed by crowds.
