Woodside Inn in Andheri West is one of the more dependable names for pet friendly dining in Mumbai, and it earns that reputation the old-fashioned way , by actually welcoming dogs and cats rather than just tolerating them. It sits inside the Link Plaza Commercial Complex on Bhau Tatoba Toraskar Marg, an easy stop whether you are out for an evening walk with your dog or planning a longer city outing. There are no pet charges here, which removes the most common friction point for pet parents dining out in the city, and the outside seating area is a confirmed, designated space where your dog can settle in alongside you while you eat and drink.

The Setting
Woodside Inn - Andheri is a well-established gastropub in the Mhada Colony pocket of Andheri West, tucked inside the Link Plaza Commercial Complex on Bhau Tatoba Toraskar Marg. This is a busy, walkable part of the western suburbs, and the pub has built a steady following over the years as a reliable neighbourhood anchor. It is the kind of place where regulars know the menu by heart and weekend evenings tend to fill up , which means if you are planning to come with a dog, arriving a little early to claim a spot at the outside seating is a genuinely good idea.
The outside seating is what makes Woodside Inn relevant for pet parents. Mumbai's restaurant scene is dense and often indifferent to dogs, so a confirmed outdoor section where pets are explicitly welcome , not just informally tolerated , is meaningfully useful. The space is part of the main restaurant setup rather than a separate cordoned-off area, so you are dining at the pub properly, just from the outside tables. For city-based pet parents who want a real evening out with their dog, rather than a rushed coffee at the corner, this setup works well.
The Andheri West location keeps it practical for anyone already in the western suburbs with their pet. Whether you are coming from Juhu, Versova, or deeper into Andheri, the commute is manageable and the address is well-known enough that auto and cab drivers will find it without trouble. It is not a destination you would drive across the city for, but if you are in the neighbourhood with your dog, it is exactly the kind of place worth knowing about.
Pet Policy , What Is Confirmed
The pet policy at Woodside Inn - Andheri is clear and was confirmed directly with the property. Dogs and cats are both welcome. Pets are allowed specifically in the outside seating area of the restaurant , not inside the main dining room or bar. This is a practical distinction that matters in practice: if you arrive expecting to sit inside with your dog, you will be redirected to the outdoor section, so it is better to plan for that from the start and arrive with it in mind.
Pets must be on a leash at all times while on the premises. This is a straightforward, standard requirement for a busy gastropub setting, and it is worth having a leash ready before you walk in rather than scrambling at the door. There are no pet charges at Woodside Inn - Andheri, which is one of the more welcome details of this listing. Many pet-friendly spots in Mumbai levy a cover charge or entry fee for bringing a dog , Woodside Inn does not, which means your bill at the end of the evening is just the food and drinks, nothing added for your dog's presence.
Breed restrictions were not explicitly confirmed during verification, meaning neither a blanket restriction nor a blanket clearance was given. If you are travelling with a larger breed or a breed that sometimes draws scrutiny at public venues , a Rottweiler, a German Shepherd, a Husky , it is a sensible precaution to call ahead on 079 6815 8311 and confirm before making the trip. The staff have been responsive to direct enquiries in the past, so a quick call should settle the question quickly.
There are no confirmed size limits on dogs either, which is helpful for pet parents with larger dogs who often find themselves excluded from pet-friendly venues that only accommodate small breeds. Again, if your dog is on the larger side, a call ahead is the safest move to confirm the current policy on the day.
Why Pet Parents Will Find This Useful
The honest case for Woodside Inn - Andheri is simple: it is a genuinely verified, no-guesswork option for dog-friendly dining in a part of Mumbai where confirmed pet-friendly restaurants are not especially common. The verification here is not based on a review from 2019 or a social media post , it was a direct phone call with the person in charge of the property, who confirmed the specifics. That means when you show up with your dog on a Saturday evening, you are not relying on a rumour.
For pet parents who have had the experience of arriving at a restaurant that claims to be pet-friendly online, only to be told at the door that dogs are not allowed inside or that there was a miscommunication , the value of a confirmed, leash-required, outdoor-only, no-pet-charge policy is real. You know exactly what you are getting into. The outdoor section is where you sit, your dog stays on a leash, and you pay nothing extra for bringing them along.
Mumbai has a growing number of dog-friendly dining options, but the quality of information about those options is uneven. Woodside Inn - Andheri stands out not because it has exceptional pet amenities , it does not have a dog bowl service, a pet menu, or a dedicated pet zone with water stations , but because the basic policy is clear, confirmed, and honest. That is more useful than a long list of unverified pet-friendly claims.
It is also worth noting the context of what kind of outing this suits. Woodside Inn is a gastropub, which means it is best framed as an evening meal or a drinks-and-dinner stop, not a daytime café brunch or a long afternoon sit. The outside seating works best when you are not in a rush, your dog is well-exercised before you arrive, and you are settling in for a proper meal rather than a quick in-and-out. A tired, well-walked dog who is happy to lie under the table is the ideal companion for a visit here. A dog who is energetic, reactive, or not yet comfortable in busy, loud pub environments might find the setting a bit much.
