Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach (Mumbai)

Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach sits right on one of Mumbai's most iconic stretches of sand, making it one of the few five-star hotels in the city where guests can step out and hit the beach within minutes. As a pet-friendly hotel in Mumbai's Juhu neighbourhood, it confirms that pets are allowed in private rooms , a meaningful policy in a city where most luxury hotels simply say no. The property is part of the Accor group and operates at a scale that comes with structured facilities: a pool, multiple dining outlets, and well-appointed rooms with views toward the Arabian Sea.

The Location: What Juhu Actually Means for Dog Parents

Juhu Beach is a public beach, which means your dog can accompany you on walks along the shore , a rare luxury when staying in Mumbai. The hotel's address on Balraj Sahni Road puts it steps from the waterline, and reviewers consistently note that beach access is immediate and easy. For dog parents, this translates to early morning walks on the sand before the crowds arrive, which is genuinely one of the better dog-walking situations available in any Mumbai hotel. The surrounding Juhu neighbourhood also has tree-lined streets and a relatively lower traffic density compared to South Mumbai, making on-leash walks manageable.

The hotel itself is a large, multi-storey property with a poolside area, a lobby restaurant, and a breakfast buffet that multiple reviewers have rated highly. Ocean-facing rooms are available and, based on guest reviews, offer views worth booking specifically for. The property is accessible by road from the Western Express Highway and sits close to the domestic airport, which is relevant if you're arriving with a pet on a domestic flight.

Pet Policy: What We Know and What We Don't

The confirmed policy is that pets are allowed in private rooms only , they are not permitted in dormitory-style or shared accommodations, which is not a category this property offers anyway. What is not yet confirmed: whether there is a per-night pet fee, a weight or breed limit, a maximum number of pets per room, or whether specific room types are designated as pet-friendly. These are important gaps to close before you arrive, particularly if you're travelling with a large breed or multiple dogs.

We recommend calling the property directly at 022 6693 4444 before booking through any third-party platform, as pet policies are frequently not reflected accurately on OTA listings. Ask specifically: is there a pet charge per night, is there a weight limit, and which room categories allow pets. Get this confirmed in writing , even a WhatsApp message from reservations will do.

What We Haven't Confirmed Yet

To be honest with you about the gaps in our verification: we do not yet know whether the hotel provides any in-room pet amenities (bed, bowl, mat), whether pets are allowed in the pool area or outdoor grounds, or whether there are designated relief areas for dogs on the property. Given the hotel's scale and its Accor brand affiliation, it is possible that some of these are available , but we will not confirm what we haven't verified. What is clear from guest reviews is that the property maintains high housekeeping standards, which matters when you're checking in with a dog. The breakfast buffet and dining outlets are rated well, though whether pets are permitted in dining areas is unknown.

For a pet-friendly stay in Mumbai near the beach, Novotel Juhu Beach is one of the more substantive options available in the city simply because it has a confirmed in-room pet policy and direct beach proximity , two things that are genuinely hard to find together in Mumbai. Verify the specifics, confirm your charges upfront, and you'll be in a strong position for a coastal city stay with your dog.
