Kaustubh AGRO FARM (Nashik)

Kaustubh Agro Farm sits on Trimbakeshwar Road in Anjaneri, Maharashtra , a short distance from the sacred town of Trimbakeshwar and the forested slopes of the Brahmagiri range near Nashik. It is a working agro farm stay with a private swimming pool, barbeque facilities, and a private kitchen, and it openly welcomes pets at no additional charge. If your dog needs open air, a change of pace, and a base close to one of Maharashtra's greener hill corridors, this property checks the practical boxes without asking you to pay a premium for bringing your pet along.

The Setting

Anjaneri village sits on Trimbakeshwar Road in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, roughly 28 kilometres from Nashik city. The area is named after the Anjaneri hill , one of several peaks in the Western Ghats foothills , and is flanked by the Brahmagiri mountain range, the source of the Godavari river. This is genuine countryside with open skies and forest-backed air, not a manicured resort zone. The landscape around the property shifts dramatically with the season: a reviewer who visited during the monsoon described experiencing what felt like all three weathers simultaneously , sun, mist, and rain , within a single stay. For dogs who need space to decompress, the rural surroundings of an agro farm are far more stimulating than a city-centre hotel room.

The Brahmagiri range that frames this part of the Nashik district is part of the northern Western Ghats, and the land around Anjaneri carries that character , scrubby hillsides, patches of forest, farmland, and occasional stone paths. The sacred Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga temple is roughly 8 kilometres from the property, which gives you a sense of how embedded this location is in the local landscape. Visitors who aren't there for the pilgrimage circuit tend to come for the quiet: the birdsong, the slow pace of a farm morning, the absence of traffic noise that is almost impossible to find in Nashik city itself. Your dog will likely pick up on this immediately.

The property is listed as a farmhouse-style stay, which means the physical footprint is likely open and spread out rather than a stacked apartment block. Outdoor furniture is listed as an amenity, and the common area includes a shared lounge , so there is space to settle in outside your room. The farm character of the property means the surrounding terrain is likely to have unpaved ground, greenery, and informal open space that dogs tend to appreciate far more than polished tile floors and perfectly trimmed grass.

Amenities and Facilities

The property comes with a private swimming pool, a barbeque setup, and a private kitchen , a combination that works well for self-sufficient groups travelling with pets who want to cook their dog's meals rather than rely on restaurant options. This matters more than it sounds: if your dog is on a specific diet, a raw food protocol, or simply does better with home-cooked food on the road, having access to a private kitchen removes one of the most common stressors of pet travel. You are not at the mercy of whatever the local dhaba can offer.

Power backup is confirmed, which matters in a rural Maharashtra setting where grid reliability can vary, especially after heavy monsoon rains. Room-controlled air conditioning is available, housekeeping is provided, and a caretaker is on site to assist guests throughout the stay. Grocery purchase assistance is also listed as a service , useful if you need to stock up on pet food, specific ingredients, or anything you forgot to pack after your drive from Nashik or further afield.

First-aid services are listed under health and wellness amenities , worth knowing if your dog picks up a minor scrape during a trek or while exploring the farm. CCTV coverage is in place across the property for general security. The property also features multilingual staff including English speakers, which removes a practical communication barrier when you need to discuss pet-specific requests, ask about local walking routes, or understand which parts of the farm your dog can freely access. Check-in is at 12:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM.

Pet Policy in Detail

Pets are confirmed welcome with no pet charges and no breed restrictions mentioned , which puts this in a relatively rare category for Maharashtra farm stays. The policy is straightforward: your dog stays free, but you are responsible for any damage they cause to the property. That is a fair and standard arrangement that most experienced pet travellers will recognise. The one hard restriction is the swimming pool , pets are explicitly not allowed in the water. This is a human-only pool. If your dog is a strong swimmer who naturally gravitates toward water, keep them leashed or managed near the pool area to avoid any friction with staff or other guests.

No information has been confirmed about the maximum number of pets per booking, weight limits, or whether specific room types are designated for pet-travelling guests. These are worth clarifying directly with the property before you arrive, particularly if you are travelling with multiple dogs or a large breed. The caretaker on site should be your first point of contact on arrival to understand which areas of the farm are fully open to your dog and whether there are any livestock or farm animals in adjoining sections that could be unsettling for a reactive dog.

What to Confirm Before You Visit

A few details are worth verifying directly before your visit. Whether pets are permitted inside the guest rooms or limited to outdoor and common areas has not been confirmed in the available information , this is the most important question to ask at the time of booking. It is also worth asking whether the agro farm grounds include any active livestock , chickens, goats, or cattle are common on working agro farms in Maharashtra, and a dog who has never encountered them can react unpredictably. Knowing this in advance lets you plan whether to keep your dog on lead for the first few hours or give them time to acclimatise gradually.

The nearest veterinary support would realistically be in Nashik city, approximately 28 kilometres away , not a difficult drive in an emergency, but worth knowing rather than discovering on the spot. Saving the contact number of a Nashik-based veterinary clinic before you leave home is a small habit that every pet traveller should build, regardless of destination. Calling ahead and confirming your pet details takes five minutes and saves a lot of friction on arrival.
