What It's Like Arriving with a Dog
ZANA's grounds are expansive enough that dogs have real room to move - six acres of forest-edged land means your dog isn't confined to a narrow corridor or a designated patch of lawn. The resort's setting directly adjacent to the Ranthambore buffer zone means the air smells different here: earthy, green, genuinely wild. Multiple guest reviews note the property feels large and uncrowded, which translates well for dogs who need space. The 24-hour front desk means late arrivals with pets aren't left scrambling - someone is always there to help you settle in.
The Resort - Rooms, Pool & Dining
Rooms are described by guests as big and spacious with attached seating areas, and the property includes an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant with 24-hour room service, and a golf course on-site. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are standard. The kitchen turns out freshly prepared dishes that guests rate highly - food scores 4.2 out of 5 across review platforms. Breakfast is available (at extra charge on some platforms; confirm when booking). The resort's 4.6 rating on TripAdvisor across 311 reviews, with rooms scoring 4.8, reflects a property that largely delivers on its luxury promise.
Location - Ranthambore Access & Practical Notes
The address - Shooting Lodge Road, Saptar, Sawai Madhopur - places you close to the main gate access routes for Ranthambore National Park. Waking up within reach of tiger country is the core draw of this location, and the resort leans into that with its forest aesthetic. The 1 km distance from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station makes it straightforward to reach by train from Jaipur or Delhi. Local shuttle service is available. A pet charge applies per night - advance payment is collected at check-in per the property's policy; confirm the exact current amount when you book.
⚠️ Wildlife Area - Keep Dogs Leashed and Supervised
ZANA Forest Resort sits adjacent to Ranthambore National Park and Tiger Reserve - active leopard and wildlife country. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on resort grounds and must never be taken into the national park or buffer zone. Exercise dogs only within the resort property. This is non-negotiable safety, not a minor restriction.
