Therpup Dog Cafe (Bengaluru)

Therpup Dog Cafe in Nagondanahalli, Bengaluru is one of the more complete dog-focused spaces in the city - not just a café where dogs are tolerated, but a purpose-built destination that combines a pet-friendly café, a swimming pool designed for dogs, a grooming salon, boarding, training, and a spacious play area all under one roof. If you're looking for a place where your dog can actually do something rather than just sit beside your table, this is the kind of spot worth knowing about.

What Therpup Actually Offers

The headline draw is the bone-shaped swimming pool - Therpup's own description calls it their "iconic bone pool," and it's designed specifically for dogs to cool off, exercise, and build water confidence. Sessions are booked in advance through their website and come in three tiers: a shared one-hour swim at ₹499, an exclusive one-hour slot at ₹1,000 (your dog has the pool to themselves), and a swim + blow-dry combo at ₹1,099 where trained staff dry your dog properly after the session. The pool is supervised throughout, which matters if your dog is a nervous first-timer.

Beyond the pool, there's a spacious play area where dogs can run, jump, and socialise with other dogs - useful if your pup needs to burn energy before you settle in at the café. The grooming salon offers professional grooming from ₹1,099, and boarding and training services are also available on-site, making Therpup one of the few places in Bengaluru where you could drop your dog for a full day of structured activity.

The Café and the Vibe

The café itself is described by visitors as genuinely dog-friendly - not just a table on the pavement, but an actual indoor space where dogs are welcome. Reviewers mention the food as a consistent highlight, and the atmosphere as relaxed and social. One Google reviewer specifically called out Mr. Vishwajeet by name for going above and beyond in making their visit memorable. The ambience is designed for pet parents who want to hang out while their dogs play, not just a quick drop-in.

Therpup also has in-house resident dogs and cats on the property - a deliberate choice by the team to let visitors who don't own pets experience canine companionship. Multiple reviewers mention the well-trained resident animals as part of what makes the space feel warm and community-oriented. If you have a reactive dog, this is worth factoring in before you visit.

Community and Mission

Therpup positions itself as more than a service provider - they actively promote adoption over buying and run community-building initiatives for pet parents. Their stated goal is to expand Therpup Dog Café to multiple cities across India, making this Bengaluru location the flagship. For a pet parent new to the city or looking for a regular social spot for their dog, the combination of structured activities and a community café under one roof is genuinely unusual in Bengaluru's pet scene.

What to Confirm Before You Visit

A few things are worth checking directly with the property before your visit: whether specific breed sizes or weights affect pool access or boarding eligibility, the current grooming menu and service timings, and whether advance booking is mandatory for swimming sessions (their website implies it is). Boarding rates and training programme details are not published on the website and will need a direct inquiry at 070225 51220.
