🏆 Top 10 Asia Pacific Bar (Tales of the Cocktail 2019 & 2022)
If you have ever wanted to take your dog out for a genuinely good cocktail in Bengaluru, The Reservoire in Indiranagar is one of the very few places in the city where that is not just tolerated , it is welcomed. Occupying the 3rd and 4th floors of a building on 12th Main Road in HAL 2nd Stage, this is a pet friendly bar that explicitly describes itself as a green space, and the property confirms there are no pet entry charges whatsoever. With over 200 cocktails on the menu and accolades from Tales of the Cocktail USA placing it in the Top 10 Best Restaurant Bars in Asia Pacific in both 2019 and 2022, this is not a novelty dog-friendly spot , it is a serious, internationally recognised bar that happens to welcome your dog. In a city where most venues either ignore the question or quietly turn dogs away at the door, The Reservoire has made a clear choice to be different, and that choice is backed by a drinks programme and kitchen that can hold their own against any bar in India.
✓ Confirmed by the property
The Reservoire Indiranagar has confirmed directly that there are no charges for pets and no entry charges for dogs. Pets are welcome at this bar. No further breed or size restrictions have been communicated at the time of this listing.
The Setting
The Reservoire sits on the 3rd and 4th floors of a commercial building in one of Bengaluru's most active neighbourhoods , Indiranagar's 12th Main Road, a stretch well known for its concentration of restaurants, bars, and independent businesses that collectively make this part of the city one of the most walked and most visited in Bengaluru. The bar was founded in 2017 by Samarth Shetty, Prathik Shetty, and Srikar Dhondapati with a stated goal of bringing Manhattan-style cocktail culture to India, and the interiors reflect that ambition clearly , New York bar design translated to a Bengaluru building, with enough visual intention that the space feels considered rather than assembled. The property positions itself as a green space, which is an unusual pairing with a cocktail bar, but one that gives the venue a slightly more relaxed, outdoor-adjacent character that tends to work well for dog parents who want their evening to feel unhurried.
The ambience is well suited to group evenings , this is the kind of place where a table of four or five people and one dog settles in for the long haul rather than a quick round. The DJ on weekends contributes significantly to the energy, which is worth factoring in if you are bringing a dog who is sensitive to sustained noise and crowd density. bringing your dog to a genuinely awarded bar in the middle of the city is an experience that remains rare in India, and the fact that The Reservoire treats it as entirely unremarkable is a larger statement than it might initially appear.
The Cocktail Menu , Why It Matters for a Dog Night Out
The Reservoire carries the claim of being India's largest cocktail bar by menu size, and with over 200 varieties across the drinks list, the number is not difficult to believe. The range spans classics, contemporary Indian-influenced builds, and house originals, and the bar has the awards to suggest the execution matches the ambition. The WOAP Restaurant of the Year 2019 Gold award and the Popular Choice Award sit alongside the Tales of the Cocktail recognition , Tales of the Cocktail being a US-based foundation regarded as one of the most credible voices in the global bar industry. Being named in their Top 10 Best Restaurant Bars in Asia Pacific not once but in both 2019 and 2022 places The Reservoire in genuinely rare company for an Indian bar.
The food programme is taken equally seriously. Chef Marco Pierre White , the British chef who holds the distinction of being the first British chef to be awarded three Michelin stars , has been quoted saying that their Nariyal Dum Ka Murgh is "the epitome of Indian cuisine I have ever tasted." That is a specific and significant endorsement, and it signals that the kitchen is not an afterthought to the bar. For pet parents, all of this matters for a simple reason: an evening here with your dog does not require any compromise on the quality of your night out. The food and drinks justify the visit entirely on their own terms. The pet-friendliness is a genuine addition on top of a programme that already stands up.
What to Know Before You Visit With Your Dog
The Reservoire has confirmed no pet charges and no entry fee for dogs, which immediately puts it ahead of the majority of Bengaluru venues that either levy a separate pet fee or simply do not engage with the question at all. There are no breed or size restrictions communicated at the time of this listing, which means this is a dog friendly bar in Bengaluru that is accessible to pet parents with large breeds as well as small ones , though confirming this when you book remains good practice.
The floor access is worth thinking through before you arrive. The bar occupies the 3rd and 4th floors of the building, which means your dog will need to handle either elevator or stair access to get there. Most dogs manage this without difficulty, but if your dog is anxious in lifts or struggles with stairs, it is worth knowing in advance rather than discovering at the entrance. Once you are up, the confirmed green space positioning of the property suggests there is some open or landscaped area, though whether this extends to dedicated terrace or outdoor seating , which would be the most comfortable option for dogs , has not been confirmed at the time of this listing and is worth asking about when you call ahead.
Weekend evenings at The Reservoire get busy. Google reviewers flag that even with a reservation, a wait of at least 30 minutes for a table is common on Friday and Saturday nights. The DJ set is part of the weekend experience, which means sustained music at volume , something to factor in carefully if your dog is noise-sensitive. A weekday visit gives you the same menu, the same bar, and a considerably quieter room. If your dog is comfortable in lively environments, the weekend atmosphere is part of what makes the venue worth visiting. If not, Tuesday or Wednesday evenings offer a more manageable introduction. Call the property directly on 091485 27999 to confirm current pet seating arrangements and to ask about any zones within the bar that work better for dogs on busy nights.
