Leela Cottages Manali (Manali)

Leela Cottages sits on a quiet stretch of Goshal-Shnag Road in Old Manali, away from the noise of Mall Road but close enough to Hidimba Devi Temple, Manu Temple, and Circuit House. The property fronts a river and the rooms are designed to catch mountain views - reviewers consistently mention waking up to snow-capped peaks on one side and the sound of the river on the other. Both dogs and cats are explicitly welcome here, with a flat ₹300 per-pet fee.

What the stay is actually like

The cottages blend traditional Himachali architecture - wooden beams, pitched roofs, carved accents - with practical modern comforts: AC, LED TV, mini-fridge, electric kettle, safe deposit box, and hot water. Rooms start from ₹2,500 per night for a Deluxe Room. The garden is a genuine feature here, not just a patch of grass, and reviewers specifically call out the calm and the river sound as the reason they kept the balcony door open all night. Free fibre internet, free parking (including valet), room service, and daily housekeeping round out the essentials. Homemade-style meals using fresh produce are available on property.

Bringing your dog here

The Goshal Village setting works well for dogs - it's a quieter pocket of Manali with less traffic than the town centre, and the area around the property has walking access along the river. The garden on-site gives dogs a place to stretch out without having to immediately head onto the road. The ₹300 pet fee is a flat extra charge, not per night, though you should confirm this at time of booking. The property feels genuinely unhurried - the kind of place where the caretaker knows your name by the second morning. Note that the road up from town can be difficult for cabs in heavy snowfall, so factor this in when planning a winter trip.

Location and access

The address is Goshal-Shnag Road, Goshal Village, Old Manali - GPS is the most reliable way in. Manali town and the main tourist belt are easily reachable, but the property itself is tucked away enough that you won't hear the bazaar. Waking up to the river below and mountains across is not a marketing claim here - it's what guests with the river-facing rooms consistently report. Free parking on-site means road-trippers arriving with a full car (and a dog in the back seat) won't have to stress about where to leave the vehicle.
