BSR Resort by Apple Orchard (Burwa) (Manali)

Tucked away in Village Burwa on the quieter fringes of Manali, BSR Resort by Apple Orchard sits amid apple orchards with direct views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. It is listed as pet-friendly and draws consistently strong reviews for its warm, hands-on ownership and mountain setting. For pet parents driving up to Manali, the Burwa Road location keeps you away from the main-market chaos while staying within reach of key sightseeing spots.

The Setting - Apple Orchards and Snow Views

The resort's biggest draw is its location. Sitting in Burwa village rather than central Manali means waking up to orchard rows and white peaks instead of traffic noise. Multiple guest reviews single out the view as the defining feature of the stay - one guest specifically recommended the mushroom soup from the in-house restaurant and noted the stunning snow-mountain backdrop from the property. The wooden-ceiling rooms have large windows that frame the landscape, and the overall vibe is a quiet cottage retreat rather than a busy hotel. For dogs, the low-density setting and proximity to open terrain is a practical plus.

What to Expect as a Pet Parent

The property is listed as pet-friendly on Google and carries a 4.9 rating across over a thousand reviews, with service consistently called out as the standout quality. The owner is described across multiple reviews as unusually involved - personally attending to guests rather than leaving everything to staff. That kind of hands-on hospitality tends to translate well for pet parents who may need flexibility or a quick conversation about where dogs are allowed to roam. The property has free parking (important when you're travelling with gear and a dog), free Wi-Fi, room service, and a 24-hour front desk. There is no pool or spa, which simplifies things - no poolside restrictions to navigate with a dog in tow. Breakfast is available at an extra charge; the restaurant serves buffet dinner and table service.

Practicalities for the Drive Up

The resort offers an airport shuttle (paid), local shuttle, and pickup and drop service - useful if you're coordinating logistics. The property has power backup, a refrigerator in rooms, and laundry service (paid), which matters on longer mountain trips. Check-in is at 12:00 PM and check-out at 10:00 AM; early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability, so call ahead if you're arriving after a long overnight drive. Hidimba Devi Temple, Vashist Hot Water Springs, and the Tibetan Monastery are all reachable from Burwa Road. One reviewer noted the resort is ideal for people seeking to get away from crowds - which, for anyone who has tried navigating Mall Road with a dog, is reason enough.
