🐾 Free Pet charges

🍽️ Yes Pet food available
Green Heaven Resort sits on Jamni Kund Road in the quieter rural fringe of Pushkar, Rajasthan , a short distance from the famous ghats and the Pushkar Lake, but far enough from the main bazaar chaos to feel like a genuine retreat. Pets stay free of charge here, pet food is available on request, and the property has confirmed its welcome to travelling dogs ahead of time. If you are driving through Rajasthan with your dog and need a base that does not make you feel like an inconvenience, this is a straightforward choice. The combination of zero pet charges, on-site pet food, and a team that already has two dogs of their own on the property makes this one of the more honestly pet-ready stays in the Pushkar area.
✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
We confirmed directly with the property that pets are welcome with zero additional charges. Pet food is available for your dog during the stay. The hotel has two resident dogs of its own. You are asked to inform the team in advance before arrival , a simple courtesy call or message is all it takes.
The Setting
Pushkar is one of the most spiritually significant towns in India, and it draws a steady stream of travellers year-round , pilgrims, backpackers, international tourists, and increasingly, Indian families doing Rajasthan road trips. Green Heaven Resort is positioned on the rural edge of the town along Jamni Kund Road, away from the dense pedestrian activity near the main ghats and the Brahma Temple. The windows in the rooms look directly out onto dense green canopy, which is exactly what the name promises and a genuine rarity in Rajasthan's arid landscape.
The rooms are clean, tiled, and simply furnished with wooden furniture; the photographs show spacious double rooms with good natural light and garden-facing windows. This is not a luxury property , it is a comfortable, honest resort-style stay on the quieter outskirts of town. For a travelling dog, the tree cover and low-traffic road-side setting is a welcome change from the sensory overload of the town centre. The surrounding area along Pushkar Rural is open and far less congested than the main market zones, which makes early morning and evening walks with a dog on a lead genuinely manageable rather than an exercise in crowd navigation.
Pet Policy , What Is Confirmed
Green Heaven Resort allows pets to stay at no extra charge whatsoever , there is no pet fee, no deposit, and no breed restriction mentioned in what the property has communicated. This is not a token gesture; the team was specific when confirmed: zero additional charges for pets. Pet food is available at the property, which removes one logistical concern if you are travelling light or have run short of your dog's regular food mid-trip. The one firm requirement from the hotel is that you inform them in advance before arrival so they can prepare accordingly. This is standard practice for pet-friendly stays across India and takes only a quick call to the number listed on the booking platform.
The property's own two resident dogs also live on site, which tells you something useful: the staff here is genuinely accustomed to having dogs around, not just tolerating visiting pets as an afterthought. A team that manages two dogs of their own day-to-day is far less likely to give your dog a wide berth or make you feel unwelcome at breakfast. That said, if your dog is reactive to other dogs, this is precisely the detail you need to flag when you call ahead , ask whether the resident dogs can be kept to a separate area of the property during your stay.
Travelling to Pushkar with a Dog
Pushkar itself is a pilgrimage town with a sacred lake at its centre, and the inner ghats area can be crowded, narrow, and not straightforward to navigate with a large dog on a lead. Many of the lanes near the lake are pedestrian-only or too tight for comfortable walking with a dog during peak hours. However, the roads around the rural outskirts , the Jamni Kund Road corridor where Green Heaven Resort sits , are far more dog-walkable, with wider verges, less foot traffic, and the kind of open scrubland that dogs find endlessly interesting in the early morning.
The town is approximately 11 km from Ajmer, which is the nearest large city with fuller veterinary services if an emergency arises. Pushkar does have local veterinary practitioners, but it is sensible to research and save a contact before you travel rather than searching in a moment of stress. The drive from Jaipur to Pushkar is roughly 145 km on a mix of NH-48 and state highways , manageable in around two and a half to three hours depending on traffic near Ajmer. This makes Pushkar a realistic weekend getaway with dogs from Rajasthan's capital without requiring an overnight journey. If you are planning a broader Rajasthan road trip , Jaipur to Jodhpur, or continuing further to Jaisalmer , Pushkar sits naturally along that western corridor, and Green Heaven gives you a proper overnight stop where your dog is genuinely expected and welcome rather than merely tolerated.
The drive itself through Rajasthan is one of the more dog-friendly in India , the highway stretches are long and uninterrupted, there are adequate places to pull over for water and toilet breaks, and the generally drier climate means you are not dealing with the mud and waterlogging that complicates road trips in wetter regions. Pack enough of your dog's regular food for the full trip, top up water frequently, and avoid driving through the midday heat in summer months without adequate air conditioning , Rajasthan in April through June can be brutal for dogs in cars.
What We Have Not Confirmed Yet
A few details are worth verifying directly with the property before you finalise your booking. We do not have confirmed information on whether pets are allowed inside the guest rooms or restricted to outdoor and common areas only , call ahead and ask this specifically, as it affects everything from your dog's sleeping arrangement to how you manage mealtimes. The size and nature of the outdoor space , whether it is a walled garden, open lawn, or courtyard , has not been independently confirmed, though the setting on Jamni Kund Road in a low-density rural area strongly suggests there is usable open ground.
Breed or size restrictions, if any exist, are not mentioned in the information the property provided, so if you are travelling with a large or powerful breed, a brief confirmation call is sensible rather than assumed. The two resident dogs on site are documented, but their temperament with visiting dogs and whether they can be physically separated from your dog on request has not been verified , if your dog has a history of reactivity around other dogs, treat this as a non-negotiable question when you speak to the team. Finally, the exact pet food available on site , brand, type, wet or dry , is unknown; if your dog is on a specific diet or has food sensitivities, pack your own supply and treat the on-site option as a backup rather than a primary resource.
