Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield (Bengaluru)

The Bengaluru Marriott Hotel Whitefield is one of the few five-star hotels in Bengaluru, Karnataka that has a clearly stated, structured pet policy - which alone puts it ahead of most luxury properties in the city. Located in the EPIP Zone of Whitefield, a major IT and business corridor in East Bengaluru, this is a full-service Marriott property with front-desk operations around the clock and keycard-secured building access. If you are travelling to Bengaluru for work or leisure and want to bring your dog or cat along without the usual negotiation at check-in, this hotel is a reliable option to consider.

The Pet Policy in Detail

The Marriott Whitefield Bengaluru accepts both dogs and cats, which is worth noting - most pet-friendly hotels in India restrict their policy to dogs only. The pet fee is ₹600 per night, non-refundable, with a cap of 2 pets per room. This fee is a pre-booking requirement, meaning it needs to be flagged when you make your reservation - not something you can sort out at the front desk on arrival. The hotel itself confirms: "Non-Refundable Pet Fee Per Stay: ₹1,200.00" for a standard stay, calculated at ₹600 per night. If your stay is longer, the per-night rate applies throughout. There are no publicly stated breed restrictions or weight limits in the sources available to us, but we would recommend confirming this when you call to add your pet to the booking, especially if you are travelling with a large breed.

What this structure tells you as a pet parent: the hotel has operationalised its pet policy, not just tagged itself as "pet-friendly." A pre-booking requirement, a defined per-night fee, and a room cap are signs that the property actually manages pet stays rather than leaving it to individual staff discretion at the counter. That matters when you are travelling with an animal and need certainty.

The Property and Location

The Marriott Whitefield sits on Plot No. 75, 8th Road, EPIP Zone - one of Bengaluru's most established tech-park clusters. The surrounding area is urban and commercial, which means this is not a property where your dog will have sprawling lawns to run around in. It is a city business hotel, and the experience reflects that. What it offers instead is the reliability and consistency of a large international hotel brand - clean, well-maintained rooms, professional front-desk staff available 24 hours, and a structured check-in process that handles pets as a normal part of operations.

Recent guest reviews describe the hotel as top-notch in quality, with particular praise for the housekeeping and concierge teams. One reviewer noted a 7-day stay during which the hotel managed a large volume of deliveries flawlessly. Another highlighted Jeena Rai at the front desk for going above and beyond - extending complimentary breakfast and ensuring guests felt genuinely cared for. These are signals that the operational standards here are high, which matters when you are travelling with a pet and need things like room preparation, early check-in, or specific floor requests to be handled without friction.

What to Confirm Before You Book

While the core pet policy is confirmed, a few details remain worth verifying directly with the hotel before finalising your reservation. Breed and weight restrictions are not listed in the available sources - if you are travelling with a large dog, call ahead and get written confirmation that your specific breed is welcome. It is also worth asking whether pet-specific amenities are provided in the room (bed, bowl, waste bags), as this is not mentioned in the confirmed policy details. The hotel has a front desk reachable at 080 4943 5000, and Marriott's booking platform allows you to note pet requirements during reservation - use both channels to be safe.

Also worth knowing: the non-refundable nature of the pet fee means that if your travel plans change after booking, you will not recover that charge. Factor this into your decision if your dates are uncertain. The Whitefield location is best suited to travellers who have business in East Bengaluru or are transiting through the city - it is not a weekend leisure escape in the traditional sense, but it is a genuinely pet-accommodating option in a city where verified pet-friendly hotel stays are still relatively rare.
