Delhi NCR's pet-friendly cafe scene has genuinely evolved over the last 3 years. There are now cafes designed specifically around dogs — with play areas, dog menus, and events. There are brunch spots with generous shaded gardens. And there are the reliable standbys where staff are comfortable with dogs even if they haven't marketed it aggressively. This guide covers all three tiers honestly.

Three tiers of pet-friendly cafes in Delhi
Tier 1 — Built for dogs: Dedicated play area, dog menu, pet events. Barks & Meows, Puppychino, Throttle Shrottle.

Tier 2 — Genuinely welcoming: Comfortable outdoor seating, staff who know how to handle dogs, water bowls on request. Café Dori, Diggin, Maruchi, Greenr.

Tier 3 — Tolerant: Dogs allowed in outdoor section, no issues with well-behaved dogs on leash, but not specifically marketed as pet-friendly. Most good garden cafes fall here.
🐾

Tier 1 — Dedicated Dog Cafes

Barks & Meows — Sector 2, Gurgaon

The flagship dog cafe in NCR. Outdoor playground with equipment for dogs and cats, dedicated pet menu (fresh local produce), regular weekend events, and a human menu that is genuinely good. Dogs and cats both welcome. Can get busy on weekends — arrive before 11 AM for space.

Puppychino — Multiple NCR Locations

A concept café built around dogs with a dedicated dog drink menu (whipped cream "puppychinos", dog-safe beverages) and a welcoming environment for pet parents. Popular with Delhi's dog Instagram community. Multiple NCR locations — check their Instagram for current outlets and hours.

Throttle Shrottle Moto Cafe — Sector 56, Gurgaon

The moto-themed Gurgaon café with an in-house chef who cooks for dogs. Customisable dog menu (soup, meal in a bowl), birthday treats for pets, and events. Multiple NCR outlets. Particularly good for dog birthdays and celebrations.

Tier 2 — Genuinely Welcoming

Café Dori — Connaught Place

The most reliably welcoming spot in central Delhi. Italian menu, good coffee, outdoor verandah seating. Staff consistently cited in reviews for how comfortable they are with dogs. Best on weekday mornings before CP gets busy.

Diggin — Anand Lok

South Delhi's best brunch garden cafe for dogs. Shaded outdoor garden seating, European brunch menu, the kind of relaxed Sunday morning atmosphere that suits a dog who wants to settle under a table. One of the most consistently recommended cafes by Delhi's dog parent community.

Maruchi — Multiple Locations

Newer addition to the scene. Explicitly pet-friendly with a pet menu. Both indoor and outdoor seating for pets — the indoor access is unusual in Delhi. Relaxed cocktail and brunch vibe.

Greenr Cafe — Sunder Nagar / Vasant Vihar

All-vegetarian, health-focused, outdoor seating, and genuinely welcoming to dogs. Regular pet meetup events at some outlets. A favourite for the health-conscious dog parent.

Quick Brown Fox — Safdarjung

An outdoor cafe with a dog-friendly setup and a separate menu for dogs. Good sandwiches and burgers for humans. The outdoor layout gives dogs room to settle without being cramped.

Tier 2 — Gurgaon Options

32nd Milestone, NH8 — Gurgaon

The multi-restaurant complex on NH8 has several pet-friendly options including Greenr Cafe (Gurgaon outlet) and several other garden cafes. A reliable stop if you are driving in or out of Delhi on the southwest corridor. Dogs on leash, outdoor seating area.

DLF Cyber Hub Area — Gurgaon

Several cafes in and around Cyber Hub allow dogs in outdoor sections. The Brewery at DLF 5 and several coffee chains with outdoor seating are reliably dog-tolerant. The outdoor promenade areas are walkable with dogs on leash.

What to Expect at Delhi Cafes with Dogs

Outdoor seating only at most places
The vast majority of Delhi cafes that welcome dogs do so in outdoor sections only. Air-conditioned indoor sections are generally off-limits. In summer, this means mornings and evenings only — avoid the 12–4 PM heat window with your dog at any outdoor cafe.
Weekend crowds change the experience
A cafe that is relaxed and spacious on a Tuesday morning can be packed and chaotic on Sunday brunch. If your dog is not comfortable in crowds, weekday visits are always better. The dedicated dog cafes (Barks & Meows, Puppychino) are exceptions — they are designed for busy weekend crowds.
Call ahead for the first visit
Pet policies at Delhi cafes change without notice. A simple 2-minute call confirms the policy is current, whether there is available outdoor seating, and whether large dogs are welcome. Better than a 30-minute drive followed by "sorry, we don't allow dogs today."
