Whispering Palms Beach Resort is a four-star property in Candolim, North Goa, sitting just 175 metres from the beach and openly welcoming pets. The resort has been operating since 1999 and explicitly lists pet-friendly accommodation among its offerings, with special services available on request for guests travelling with animals. Villa-style rooms are set within gardens featuring 86 varieties of plants and trees - plenty of shade and green space for a dog to decompress after a long road trip.
✓ Confirmed by the property
Whispering Palms Beach Resort has confirmed they welcome pets and will arrange special services on request for guests travelling with their animals. Contact the reservations team directly before arrival to discuss what your dog needs - they describe it as curating an experience to suit each guest.
What the Resort Offers Travelling Pet Parents
The property describes itself as offering "luxurious pet-friendly accommodation" and lists dogs allowed and cats allowed on its Google profile. The grounds are lush and landscaped - the kind of garden where a dog can actually exhale - and the villa-style room layout with private sit-outs means your dog isn't cooped up in a standard corridor-access hotel room. The resort has a swimming pool, fitness centre, spa, and three restaurants including a buffet dinner option and free breakfast. Room service is available, which matters when you'd rather not leave your dog alone to grab a meal.
Beach Access and the Neighbourhood
The 175-metre walk to Candolim Beach is the headline draw for dog parents here. An early morning run on a quiet Goan beach stretch before the shacks set up is genuinely hard to beat. The resort is also close to watersport centres, beach bars, and shopping - all the standard North Goa chaos, but you have a calm base to return to. Fort Aguada is about 4 km away if you want a longer outing. The resort can also arrange water sports and has a local shuttle service for getting around without your own vehicle.
Practical Notes for Dog Owners
The resort's pet policy is confirmed but kept broad - special services are available on request, which means you should call ahead and specify what you need: whether that's a ground-floor room, bowls, or early check-in after a long drive. Reaching out before you book rather than after will make the difference here. Check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM. Free parking is available on site, which is useful for road-trippers arriving with a loaded car and a dog in the back. The reservations contact is Maya at +91 9970057236 or info.wpbr@whisperingpalms.com.
