✓ Verified by the Pet Friendly Places team
We confirmed with the property that pets are welcome at Vraj Inn. There are no extra charges for bringing your pet, and no specific pet policies or restrictions are in place. Guests are free to bring their dogs without prior approval or additional paperwork. This makes it one of the more straightforward pet-friendly stays in Dwarka.
The Property
Vraj Inn occupies a modern low-key building on Nageshwar Temple Road in the Ghanshyam Nagar area of Dwarka. Rooms are described by multiple reviewers as spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds, good air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and wooden furnishings. The property has a private bathroom in every room, free toiletries, slippers, and a clothes rack. Free Wi-Fi covers all areas. There is a 24-hour front desk, room service, and an in-house restaurant on the ground floor serving food that guests have rated positively , one reviewer specifically noted the dining area was on the ground floor and the food was good. The hotel also has a terrace and balcony, which give dogs a bit of outdoor air without leaving the property. Free private parking is available on site and does not require advance reservation, which is a practical plus if you are on a road trip with your dog.
Pet Policy in Plain Terms
The property confirmed: no pet fee, no pet policy restrictions , guests simply arrive with their pet. There is no documented weight limit, no breed restriction, and no mention of designated pet-only zones. Based on the confirmed amenities, pets are understood to be welcome in the guest rooms alongside their owners. The hotel does not list any specific in-room pet amenities such as bowls or beds, so bring your own gear. The lobby has 24-hour security and CCTV coverage both inside common areas and outside the property, which means the building is reasonably secure if you need to step out briefly without your dog.
Location: What It Means for Dog Parents
Dwarka is a dense, busy pilgrimage town in the Devbhoomi Dwarka district of Gujarat. The streets around Vraj Inn are urban and fairly active, so walking a dog here requires leash discipline , temple foot traffic, street vendors, and general pilgrim movement mean this is not a place for off-leash walking near the property. That said, the proximity to Dwarka Railway Station (roughly 200 metres by one reviewer's account, or described as an 8-minute walk by the booking platform) makes it extremely convenient if you have arrived by train with your dog. Nageshwar Temple is approximately 1.5 km away. The market and local attractions are within easy reach. For pet parents doing a Gujarat road trip that includes Dwarka as a stop , whether visiting the Dwarkadhish Temple, the Bet Dwarka island, or driving towards Somnath or Porbandar , Vraj Inn provides a clean, affordable base where your dog is genuinely welcome inside.
Dwarka as a Destination for Pet Travellers
Most people who arrive in Dwarka with a dog are passing through on a larger Gujarat circuit , the Saurashtra peninsula routes that connect Rajkot, Jamnagar, Porbandar, Somnath, and Gir are popular multi-day drives, and Dwarka sits naturally on that loop. The town itself is compact and manageable on foot, but it is worth knowing what you are walking into. The main Dwarkadhish Temple does not permit dogs inside its complex, which is standard practice at Hindu religious sites. Plan to visit the temple without your dog, which means leaving them comfortably in your air-conditioned room at Vraj Inn rather than tied outside in the Gujarat heat.
The Okha road and the waterfront near the Gomti Ghat offer slightly more open stretches for a morning walk with your dog before the town fills with pilgrims. Bet Dwarka , a small island reached by a short ferry from Beyt jetty, approximately 35 km from the town centre , is an interesting excursion, though the ferry situation with dogs would need confirming on the ground. Rupen River estuary and the beaches along the approach road from Okha are quieter and more suitable for a dog stretch on the way in or out of Dwarka. None of these are confirmed as dog-friendly destinations with rules or access policies , they are simply lower-traffic natural areas worth considering as part of your routing.
Rooms and In-Stay Practicalities
Vraj Inn runs across multiple room categories. Based on aggregated guest reviews, the superior and deluxe room categories offer more floor space, which matters when you have a dog in the room. Rooms on higher floors that access the balcony area give dogs an outdoor sightline and some fresh air. The in-house restaurant on the ground floor is a practical convenience , you can eat on-site rather than having to leave your dog alone in the room while you hunt for a nearby dhaba. Room service is also listed as available, meaning meals can be brought to your room if needed. The hotel has a lift, making access with a crate or a large dog easier than properties with staircase-only access. Check-in is at 12:00 noon; check-out is at 11:00 AM , standard timings worth noting if you are arriving by an early train or driving in from a long overnight haul.
The property sits in a predominantly residential-commercial neighbourhood. There is a small general stores and pharmacy strip within walking distance, useful if you need to pick up bottled water or supplies for your dog. The nearest veterinary services in Dwarka town are not confirmed in our data , if your trip includes any concern about access to emergency vet care, carry your vet's contact number and check for the nearest clinic in Dwarka or Okha (approximately 30 km away) before you travel.
What to Confirm Before You Visit
The property has not published a detailed written pet policy on its website. While we have confirmed no charges and no restrictions, it is worth calling ahead (088491 20184) to let them know you are bringing a dog, particularly regarding the room type and floor assignment. The following details are not yet confirmed: whether the terrace or balcony is accessible to guests with dogs, whether there is a grassy or open area on the property for toilet walks, and whether the restaurant is accessible to guests with pets seated nearby. Vraj Inn's website (vrajinn.in) does not currently carry pet-specific information, so a quick phone call before check-in is the most reliable step.
