The Big Tree Delhi (sector 20 dwarka)

Finding a spot in Delhi where your dog or cat is genuinely welcome - not just tolerated - is harder than it sounds. The Big Tree Delhi, a rooftop bar and all-day dining destination in Sector 20 Dwarka, accepts all breeds, allows up to 2–3 pets per visit, and charges no additional pet fee. The menu spans North Indian, Indo-Chinese, and continental options with a full bar, and the vibe runs from casual lunch to late-night weekend sessions.

What to Expect When You Arrive with Your Pet

The Big Tree Delhi describes itself as a space with no restricted areas for pets - meaning your companion stays with you throughout, rather than being cordoned off to a designated corner. The no separate pet zone policy makes a real difference when you're trying to settle in with an anxious dog or a cat carrier. The rooftop open-air setup, noted across multiple reviews, also means better ventilation for pets compared to a fully enclosed indoor restaurant. Cost for two runs approximately ₹1,100–1,400, and the kitchen covers enough ground - pizza, rolls, burgers, North Indian mains, and global cuisines - that a long sit with your pet won't feel rushed.

The Atmosphere and Crowd

This is an evening-leaning venue with live music, a dance floor, and a cocktail garden that gets busy on Friday and Saturday nights (open until 2 am on weekends). Weekday afternoons and early evenings tend to be quieter - a better window if your dog is noise-sensitive or if you're visiting with a cat. The space has a rated 4.4 on Zomato across 2,060 reviews, with consistent praise for ambience and live entertainment. A minority of reviews flag cold food and reservation service inconsistencies, so pre-booking your table via Zomato or District is worth doing, especially on weekends when you're coming with pets and need a confirmed spot.

Practical Notes for Pet Parents

Parking is available on-site, which matters when you're loading in with a large dog or a carrier. The venue is wheelchair accessible, suggesting ground-level access is manageable. No in-room pet amenities are listed (this is a restaurant, not a stay), so bring your own water bowl, mat, and waste bags. Cats and small dogs in carriers will integrate more easily during off-peak hours; large breed owners on a weekend evening should call ahead to discuss seating - the cocktail garden format may work better than the indoor section for bigger dogs.
