From Udaipur city centre
TatSaraasa Resort & Spa sits on the shores of Lakhawali Lake, about 12 km north of Udaipur in a quiet village setting surrounded by the Aravalli hills. The resort is genuinely pet-forward - no size limits, no breed restrictions, no pet surcharge - which puts it in a rare category for a full-service spa resort. Rooms come with lake views, private balconies or gardens, and the kind of space that actually works when you're travelling with a large dog.
✓ Confirmed by the property
TatSaraasa has a dedicated pet-friendly page on their website and explicitly states: "We welcome your four legged family member - no matter their size, weight, or breed, at no extra charge. If your pet fits through the door, we'll welcome them in." Their house rules also note that guests may encounter "beautiful, well-behaved 4 legged creatures around" the resort - so resident animals are part of the vibe here too.
The Property & Grounds
The resort wraps around Lakhawali Lake, with large lawns, palm-lined open spaces, and an outdoor infinity pool overlooking the water. For dog parents, the green grounds mean your dog actually has room to stretch out between your spa sessions. Rooms across all categories - Premium, Luxury Lakeview, and Suites - include private balconies or garden access, so your dog isn't stuck inside while you take in the view. The surrounding countryside is rural and quiet, which makes morning walks with zero city noise genuinely easy here.
What the Stay Looks Like With a Pet
The resort runs a multi-cuisine restaurant, a bar, and in-room dining - so you're not dependent on going out for meals, which matters when you don't want to leave your dog alone in the room. Rooms are well-appointed with minibars, tea and coffee makers, and hypoallergenic bedding. The property also has a spa, yoga and meditation classes on the lawns, a sauna, steam room, and a 24-hour fitness centre. Valet parking and complimentary loaner bikes are available, which is useful if you're driving in with your dog and need to sort the car quickly. Checking in with a large dog to a resort that doesn't blink is the kind of experience this place promises - and their policy backs it up in writing.
Getting There
The resort is situated approximately 12 km from Udaipur city centre in Village Lakhawali off NH 76. Auto-rickshaws are not available in the area. If you're not driving, cab services can be arranged with a minimum 30-minute notice period; one-way city transfer rates start from ₹800 and are governed by the local taxi union. The resort also has its own van/jeep available for emergencies. If you're driving with your dog, pulling up to a resort that treats your pet like a guest - not a problem starts right at the gate here. Free parking is available on-site.
