Shimla
Himachal Pradesh
Mountain And Peace is a garni hotel tucked into the Himalayan foothills at Beolia, Shimla - a quieter address away from the Mall Road chaos, surrounded by mountains and natural plantation. Dogs and cats are welcome here for a flat ₹500 per stay, and the property's leash-free roaming policy means your dog can move around the grounds freely without being tethered. It's a functional, no-fuss base for pet parents who want Shimla without the crowds.
✓ Confirmed by the property
Mountain And Peace has confirmed via their listed property rules that pets (dogs and cats only) are welcome for a one-time fee of ₹500 per stay. A maximum of 1 pet is permitted per booking. Pets are free to roam without a leash on the grounds. Pet food is not available on-site, so bring your dog's meals and treats from home.
What to Know Before You Arrive
The property allows up to one pet per booking - dogs and cats only. The ₹500 per-stay charge is flat regardless of your length of stay, which works in your favour on longer trips. Pets are not permitted on the beds, in the swimming pool area, or inside the restaurant, so plan your meals accordingly. No pet food is stocked on-site, which is a common gap at smaller Shimla properties - carry enough of your dog's regular food for the entire trip. The host, Shantam, has been running this property since 2016 and is known for responsive communication.
The Stay Itself
Mountain And Peace sits in Beolia, which gives it a greener, more peaceful setting than central Shimla. The property is surrounded by natural plantation with mountain views, and the leash-free grounds policy is a genuine plus for dogs who need space to decompress after a car journey. Some rooms have kitchens and refrigerators - useful for storing your dog's food and keeping things like wet food or medicines cool. Meals from a fixed South Indian and Chinese menu are available at the property, and outside food is permitted if you prefer to bring your own.
