Elixir Woods Resort And Spa (Munnar) (letchmi estate)

Elixir Woods Resort and Spa sits tucked into a private estate on the Mankulam Road near Letchmi Tea Estate in Munnar - one of the few hill resorts in Kerala that explicitly lists pet-friendly as a confirmed amenity. The property features private pool villas, an infinity pool with misty hill views, and enough open green space to make a dog's day. A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000 applies for guests travelling with pets.

What the property looks like for a dog parent

The resort is set within a lush cardamom plantation estate, which means there's real open land around the villas - not just a manicured strip of grass between buildings. The private pool villas give you your own outdoor space, which matters when you're travelling with a dog and want to let them settle without worrying about shared corridors or communal areas. The misty hillside setting at sunrise is the kind of thing that makes you glad you made the drive up. Facilities on property include an infinity pool, ayurvedic spa, sauna, indoor games room, and a restaurant - so there's enough to keep the humans occupied while the dog naps after a morning walk.

Practical notes for pet parents

The ₹5,000 security deposit is refundable on checkout, so keep the room clean and you'll get it back. The property is on Mankulam Road near the Letchmi Tea Estate - the surrounding roads can be narrow and busy with estate traffic, so plan your dog walks on the property grounds rather than roadside. Google confirms free parking, free breakfast, and free Wi-Fi, which are useful to know when you're budgeting a pet trip. Calling reception before arrival is strongly recommended - confirm which room type accommodates pets, and whether there are any size or breed conditions. Reception number: +91 89217 06864.

The setting and surroundings

Munnar's weather keeps things cool even in summer, which is a genuine relief if you're travelling with a retriever or any breed that struggles in heat. The estate's green cover, nature walks, and plantation air that smells nothing like the city make this an easy yes for a Kerala hill escape with dogs. The resort is positioned about an hour from Munnar town centre, so it's quieter than properties right on the tourist circuit - better for dogs who need calm surroundings to settle into a new place.
