ELIVAAS prive Tapovana (Uchalagollahalli)

Tucked inside a peaceful one-acre tropical landscape on the outskirts of Bengaluru, ELIVAAS Prive Tapovana's Zarae tent is the kind of pet-friendly stay near Bengaluru that doesn't ask you to leave your dog behind. Set among farmland and lush greenery in Uchalagollahalli, Karnataka - close to Gauribidanaur in Kolar district - this earthy boho forest tent offers a genuinely calm retreat for both you and your dog. The property explicitly welcomes pets, has a structured pet policy with documented security deposits, and has drawn consistently strong reviews for its hospitality and setting.

The Setting

The Zarae tent - named for its soft, stylish aesthetic with a luxe island feel and boho-inspired theme - sits within a one-acre tropical landscape designed to feel close to nature. The tent itself is a fibre structure with a light-filled bedroom featuring a soft canopy bed, rattan wardrobe, and handwoven accents. It opens to fresh air and filtered sunlight, making it easy to step outside with your dog at any time. The ensuite has a grey-stone bathtub surrounded by indoor greenery, while the private patio comes with a raw-wood dining table and wicker seating under a layered canopy roof - a spot where your dog can settle while you have your morning chai.

The wider property has a shared pool area lined with tall palms and whitewashed decks, a thatched-roof gazebo tucked into the vegetation, and a sunken firepit that becomes the social heart of the property after dark. This is a property built around open air and outdoor living - which, for dog parents, is exactly what you want. The greenery and open grounds give dogs room to move, sniff, and settle, without the claustrophobia of an urban hotel room.

Pet Policy in Detail

The property's pet policy is one of the more transparent ones we've seen on the Elivaas platform. Pets are welcome on the property and the policy is clearly structured: a refundable security deposit of ₹10,000 for one pet or ₹15,000 for two pets is collected at check-in, separate from the standard property security deposit of ₹10,000. There is also a one-time pet sanitation fee collected at check-in - the amount for this tent category should be confirmed directly at the time of booking, as it scales by property size on the Elivaas platform.

The one firm restriction to be aware of: dogs are not permitted in the swimming pool, and ELIVAAS enforces this with a ₹10,000 care charge if the rule is violated. The pool is a shared space with a coastal, palm-lined aesthetic - it's beautiful to sit beside with your dog, but swimming is for humans only here. Clean-up after your pet on the grounds is the guest's responsibility, which is standard. Beyond these points, the property's published tone is warm and genuinely pet-welcoming.

What It's Like to Stay Here with a Dog

The property sits in a rural belt outside Bengaluru - Gauribidanaur, Kolar district - which means it's a genuine drive from the city, appropriate as a weekend getaway with dogs rather than a quick day trip. The surrounding area is farmland and tropical greenery, with the sounds of nature rather than traffic. For dogs that get overstimulated in city environments, the quiet and open setting of a stay like this can make a real difference to how they settle in.

Reviewer feedback on the property highlights a hospitality team that genuinely shows up - caretaker Matthew and manager Ganesh are both named in reviews for attentive, personal service. The welcome basket, butler service, and well-stocked fridge are touches that make the stay feel considered rather than transactional. For pet parents, knowing the on-site team is responsive matters - if your dog needs something or there's an incident, you're not navigating an unmanned property.

The tent accommodates a standard occupancy of 2 guests and a maximum of 4, which makes it suited to a couple or small family with one or two dogs. The private patio is the key outdoor space for your pet - a dedicated area outside your tent unit where your dog can be off-lead in a contained, shaded environment. The wider grounds provide additional roaming space, though the shared nature of the pool area means leash etiquette around other guests is worth keeping in mind.
