Leopards and dogs in Uttarakhand hills — how worried should I actually be?
We're planning Kanatal and Dhanaulti with Toffee (beagle, 9 years) next month. I keep seeing warnings about leopards near hill stations and I genuinely can't tell if this is overblown internet fear or a real thing.
The people who dismiss it seem very confident; the people who take it seriously seem very serious. What's the actual risk level and how do people who travel there regularly with dogs manage it?
