First trip to Coorg with my Labrador — any prep I'm missing?

Rocky (Lab, 4 years, very food-motivated) is coming with us to a coffee estate stay in Coorg next month. First proper hill trip for him. The estate says dogs welcome but I'm trying to think about what could go wrong or what I might not have thought of.

Any Coorg-specific tips? Things that surprised you the first time you went there with a big dog?
